Dr. Robert Salant is Clinical Associate Professor of Urology at New York University School of Medicine and is also affiliated with Beth Israel Medical Center, Cabrini Medical Center, and Hospital for Joint Diseases all in New York City. Dr. Salant also maintains a private practice in urology at Midtown Urologic Associates in New York City. He is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Salant received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship and surgery training at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. He also completed his residency in urology at Beth Israel, where he was chief resident.

Dr. Salant has published original papers in peer-reviewed journals, and has lectured on many urologic topics including benign prostatic hypertrophy, minimally invasive prostate surgery, and erectile dysfunction. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, and the Medical Society of the State of New York.

Dr. Salant has appeared on many news programs involving advances in the field of urology including Dateline NBC, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, CBS News, and UPN news. He has provided material and information for several books and print media articles on topics of interest in urology.
